Sounds stupid, but don’t hold on to clothes that don’t fit! It’s a lot easier to feel confident stepping out of the door when everything you grab in your closet accentuates your frame.

P.s. it saves a TON of time

- One year ago I wrote this self made quote. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I held myself to it and how much understanding this concept has done for me. I am not the smartest person out there but I really do believe that understanding the reality that there are always challenges that always need to be overcome will aid you in being successful.

bicycling - my new "thing"

I recently started up a new hobby. Cycling.

I never really thought it would be an activity that I would find myself doing, but nonetheless I have taken to it well. Like many people out there I have always owned a bike and somehow just let it sit in the shed gathering dust. But recently my bf got interested in fixing up his bike. I am an active person, so I felt like it’d be another great way to workout and an even better way to get OUTSIDE. So much of my life is spent inside at work and inside the house when I come home.

On our first trail ride we did 12 miles. And most recently we did 9 miles with more uphill/downhill involved. (I felt like a little kid going down the big hill, can’t lie. I may have even said “wheeeee!”)

I still have a lot of work to do in the technique arena, but as I said I’ve just begun. W.I.P. (work in progress).

Many people are in a rush to do great things. But make sure you are trying to do great things with patience, diligence and the ability to see opportunity where others may not.

I’m by no means and expert, but I can tell you from experience that being in a rush can prevent you from being thorough. If you are not being diligent you may prevent yourself from spotting an opportunity. And the inability to understand what an opportunity is just leaves you, well…short.

My drive home today was amazing. My sunroof was back, sunglasses were on and it was 80 degrees and sunny. I blasted 90’s Mariah Carey all the way home.
